Age Concern Waikato weekly education sessions for those over 65.
We meet each Friday 10-11am. We will be out across our community spaces each week and aim to have different speakers come along.
Speakers will vary between organisations to share information, as well as individuals from our community who share their personal journeys and interesting experiences.
Everyone is welcome (no need to book ahead)

Western Community Centre
Speaker: Jackie Hart, Service and Development Manager, Progress to Health
Progress to health is a community service that provides support to people with long term mental health conditions or disabilities. Jackie will be speaking about Progress to Health, she will provide us with an overview of services and be able to answer your burning questions.

Speaker: Grace Stowers, Hartson Stowers Law
Grace will be speaking to us as a local lawyer with experience in wills and enduring power of attorney. Grace runs her own law firm here in Hamilton and is keen to share her experiences and information.

Glenview Community Centre
Speaker: Paul Tierny, Here2care
Paul is the director of Here2Care. Here2Care is a local organisation who work with charities, sports groups, pastoral groups and community centres to grow healthy relationships with whanau and individuals in the community through meeting underlaying needs with assistance. Here2Care have a focus on Tamariki support.

Chartwell Church
Speaker: Pat Davis, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
Pat is a local group coordinator for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is a registered charitable trust who provide support services to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren on a full-time basis. Pat will guide us through the work the organisation provides and how to access this support, Pat is a key contact in our community for many people.
